MA Special Senate Election Polling

What a stunner!  Just days after Rasmussen puts Coakley a measley 9 points ahead of Brown, PPP comes out with this.

The Massachusetts Senate race is now a toss up.

Buoyed by a huge advantage with independents and relative disinterest from Democratic voters in the state, Republican Scott Brown leads Martha Coakley 48-47.

What’s all the fuss about?

Brown has eye popping numbers with independents, sporting a 70/16 favorability rating with them and holding a 63-31 lead in the horse race with Coakley. Health care may be hurting Democratic fortunes with that group, as only 27% of independents express support for Obama’s plan with 59% opposed.

Needless to say, the Dems never saw this coming.  They are now bringing Bill Clinton to town.  Wonder if they’ll bring in the big O?

This race is WINNABLE – but it takes EVERYONE talking it up and corralling votes. We’re in a sprint – one week to go. Let’s do it and send a message to Reid, Pelosi and Obama. And to the country – even blue-to-the-gills Massachusetts has regained some sanity. How ironic will it be that Massachusetts marks the turn away from the government’s slide toward socialism?
