Hundreds of Tea Party activists expected at Anti-Obamacare demonstrations across Massachusetts Tuesday, March 16, 2010.
Boston – March 16, 2010 – In response to their Representatives outrageous refusal to represent their constituencies, Tea party activists from across Massachusetts will gather in protest at District Congressional offices across the state. With a vote on the Senate Healthcare Reform bill expected in the House later this week, activists decided it was time to once again take to the streets in an effort to remind elected representatives they are to vote according to the will of the people.
With less than 48 hours notice, Tea Party leaders are confident that their members will come out because of the looming vote. Barbara Klain, of the Greater Lowell Tea Party, says she is happy to come out once again if it means her representative, Congresswoman Niki Tsongas, might finally get the message. “We have been voicing our opposition to the Democratic leadership’s healthcare reform plans for nearly a year. We spoke directly with Congresswoman Tsongas at a Town Hall meeting this summer. She knows how we feel yet she ignores us. We will not be ignored.” Mrs. Klain plans together with other members of her organization at Tsongas’ Lowell office from 4 Pm-M – 6 PM. “We will not give up our freedoms easily,” she said.
Christen Varley of the Greater Boston Tea Party is helping to coordinate the statewide event. “We have contacted thousands of activists across the state and hope that many will come out to support this effort. This is it – we must not give an inch.” The Greater Boston Tea Party is a group of citizens who are concerned with the increasingly burdensome reach of government. Our mission is to educate and advocate for the restoration and defense of public policy that promotes limited government, free markets, free speech, individual liberty and personal responsibility, all tenets of the Constitution of the United States of America and the Bill of Rights. The group puts on demonstrations and protests through out the Greater Boston Metro area. They are currently planning a rally scheduled for Boston on April 14th, 2010 with the Tea Party Express. Sarah Plain is expected to headline the event.

How can I post this as a link to Facebook?
Immediately one can capture the URL in the address bar at the top and paste it into your Facebook status.
Please look out for a easier way to share the posts in the coming week. The website will be getting a few upgrades.
OK – Scrub that. I have put a share/save button underneath every post.
Thanks
Can you post individual or a group email list for all of the politicians for us? I cannot make it to the protests today but I would love to fire off a number of emails. I think I can get some friends and family to do the same. Flood their inbox with common sense.
The loyal opposition continues!

Hi Christen,
When I got to Markey’s office in Medford Square NO one was there. Gulp…but I parked and got out my sign and stood there feeling glad I had the nerve to do it. Along came a nice guy named Jared Rhoads, he went home and got his sign and joined me. Then a car with a huge “Impeach Obama and Barney Frank”sign on top and drove around us honking. That fellow, Dick Ouellette got his signs and joined us. Then a couple from Chelsea, Sissy and Tuck, joined us. She is a blogger and took a lot of pix. We had a great time getting to know each other and quite a few drivers responded with honks and thumbs up… Not enough though. There are many asleep at the wheel.
The traffic was blocked off due to a problem at the river so people were sitting in traffic a long time looking at the signs.
Dick wants to meet-up again in front of Markey’s office at 4pm. I will probably do that before Dave and I go to a Stand out for Israel in Harvard Square. So all in all it has been an outstanding day.
Thanks for organizing this. I did not get to hear you on the radio as we were out until 11. How did it go?
Chris
I just came from 110 First St in Cambridge and Nobody was there??
Hey Jim, Did you ever meet up with the guys at Capuano’s office?
